Hi I have used the 416 for years and would normally go for that on a shoot, but I recently bought the Rode NTG3 and I can honestly say that I love it. Both are RF but specs wise they are very different. It is characterized by superior audio depth, yet the sounds are still accurate and realistic. I just thought that I should let you know that the NTG-1 is without doubt 10xa better mic than the AT.
